Sending invitations by SMS

Text each guest their own personal invitation link.

Step-by-step

  1. 1Add your guests with mobile numbers in the Invitees tab.
  2. 2Open the SMS tab in your event and top up SMS credits if you need them (bought in bundles, and they never expire).
  3. 3Choose who to text — everyone, or only guests who haven't replied — and pick Invite, Reminder or Update.
  4. 4Check the live preview and character counter, then send. One credit is charged per recipient.
  5. 5Each text contains a short personal link like availi.com.au/r/aB3xK9pQ, so the invitation opens with that guest's name already filled in.

Helpful tips

  • Every message fits a single 160-character SMS, so one credit always equals one text — updates you write yourself are capped at 90 characters to leave room for the link.
  • The link is never trimmed. If wording is too long, Availi shortens the wording instead.
  • If a text can't be delivered, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance.
  • Delivery status for each recipient appears in the SMS tab's message history.
